Scrap car collection around Fleet, GU51 and GU52

Get a quote for your unwanted car in Fleet, Hampshire. ScrapTrak buys scrap, damaged and non-running vehicles, with free collection in the areas we cover and payment by bank transfer after collection checks.

Send your registration and the postcode where the vehicle is parked. Whether it is an MOT failure at a garage or an unused car on the drive, tell us its condition so we can confirm a price and collection plan.

Fleet town-centre addresses and nearby Church Crookham need the same starting point: an accurate collection postcode. GU51 and GU52 help identify the wider area, but we need the full address to confirm coverage and the actual loading location.

For a car in central Fleet, say whether it is in a private bay, a workplace or a named car park near Church Road or Harlington Way. Include the entrance, any height barrier and who can authorise access. In Church Crookham or Elvetham Heath, tell us if parking is shared, gated or reached through a narrow driveway. These details help with planning; they are not assumptions about every street.

If the vehicle is at a garage, agree the release arrangements with the garage before booking. For station or commuter parking, give the car park name and exact position, not just the nearest station. Check current signs and the operator’s rules. Hart District Council’s parking information is useful for council facilities.

ScrapTrak is based in Portsmouth and arranges collection in its covered areas. This page does not advertise a Fleet drop-off yard. Contact us before making a journey or moving a car that cannot be driven safely.

What cars can I get a quote for?

MOT failures and older cars

Tell us the failed items, repair estimate and general condition. An MOT failure can still have value, and collection avoids the need to drive an unroadworthy vehicle to a buyer.

Non-runners

Engine trouble, gearbox faults and electrical failures can all be considered. Explain whether the car rolls and steers, and mention seized brakes, flat tyres or missing keys.

Accident damage and salvage

Photographs and an honest description help assess damage and reusable parts. Tell us about any insurance involvement and confirm you are authorised to sell the vehicle.

Read more about non-runner collections and damaged-car quotes. If major parts have already been removed, include that information at the start.

How much is a scrap car worth in Fleet?

A useful quote is specific to your vehicle. Weight and current metal prices matter, but so do the make, model, condition and completeness. Reusable parts or repair potential can affect whether the vehicle is valued for scrap or salvage.

Before comparing offers, write down the same details for each buyer: mileage, keys, whether it starts, damage, missing parts and access. A missing catalytic converter, battery, engine, gearbox or wheels can change the assessment. Ask whether collection is included, when payment is made and what could alter the agreed price.

Request a quote for your own registration and condition rather than relying on a price paid for a different car. Read our scrap car prices guide to understand how valuations work.

Booking and preparing for collection

  1. Request the quote. Send the registration, full postcode, condition and photos where useful.
  2. Agree a collection slot. Confirm access, any garage opening hours, who will hand over the vehicle and what documents are required.
  3. Prepare the handover. Remove belongings, have available keys and the V5C ready, and keep the agreed loading route clear.
  4. Complete the checks. Vehicle and ownership details are checked on collection. Payment is by bank transfer, with guidance on the relevant DVLA steps.

If you cannot be there, tell us before booking so we can confirm an authorised handover. A collection should not depend on a driver arriving to find an inaccessible vehicle or keys held by someone who has not agreed to release it.

V5C, private plates and the Certificate of Destruction

A missing logbook should be raised before collection so the team can explain the identification and ownership checks. If a private registration matters to you, complete the retention or transfer arrangements with DVLA before the vehicle is collected. Simply removing the physical number plates does not retain the registration.

Keep the collection and payment records. A Certificate of Destruction applies to eligible vehicles fully scrapped through the authorised treatment process; a car sold for repair or reuse can follow a different route. Our no-V5C guide and the official scrapping guidance explain the next steps.

Fleet scrap car FAQs

Do you collect in Church Crookham as well as Fleet?

Send the full GU51 or GU52 collection postcode and we will confirm the address and arrangements. Explain any gates, shared parking or restrictions when requesting the quote.

Is collection included in my Fleet quote?

Collection is included in the areas we cover. Confirm the address, condition and access details before booking so you understand the offer and collection arrangements.

Can you collect a car without keys?

It may be possible, depending on ownership checks and how the vehicle can be loaded. Tell us whether the steering is locked, whether it rolls and where it is parked.

How soon can you collect?

We confirm availability after checking the car and address. If collection needs to fit a garage’s opening hours or a handover by another person, mention that before choosing a slot.

How do I receive payment?

Payment is made by bank transfer after the vehicle and ownership checks on collection. Confirm the amount and arrangements before the handover.
