Ford Fiesta Scrap Car Collection in Portsmouth
We collected this Ford Fiesta as a scrap car from a petrol station in Portsmouth. If your own car is at a business site, confirming the exact parking area and site arrangements helps prepare the collection.

A Ford Fiesta collected from a Portsmouth petrol station
ScrapTrak collected this Ford Fiesta as a scrap car from a petrol station in Portsmouth. The photograph shows the dark-coloured Fiesta in a marked parking bay, with its front wheels supported by recovery lifting equipment.
When your own car is at a business site, there are a few details to agree alongside the vehicle information. Our Portsmouth scrap car collection page explains the local service, and our Scrap My Ford guide covers enquiries for a Fiesta and other Ford models.
Identify the site and the parking area
Start with the full collection address and postcode. A petrol station name on its own can be ambiguous, particularly if the same brand has more than one nearby site. Check the exact address rather than relying on a familiar description such as “the one near the roundabout”.
Then describe where your car is within the site. A marked customer parking space is different from a position beside a pump, an entrance or a neighbouring business. Give the relevant parking area, the vehicle registration and a simple identifying detail.
If there is more than one entrance, explain which serves that area. A clear photograph showing the car’s surroundings can help, but the written address still matters. Update the location details if the car is moved after you enquire.
Check the arrangements with the site
Speak to the person responsible for the site before agreeing a collection appointment. Explain that you are arranging for the vehicle to be collected and ask what access arrangements are needed. Confirm whether there is a particular contact or time that the collection team should use.
Check the displayed parking terms and any arrangements you have made with the business. A collection booking does not itself confirm what the site has agreed about parking or access. If anything needs clarifying, discuss it directly rather than assuming the collection team can settle it on arrival.
Keep the business informed if your plans change. It is better for the site contact, the person handing over the car and the collection team to share the same information than to work from separate messages with different expectations.
Describe the car separately from its location
Where a car is parked does not explain its mechanical condition. For your enquiry, tell us what you know about the Fiesta itself: whether it starts, rolls and steers if known, any confirmed problems, and whether the keys are available.
You do not need to supply a reason that fits the location. If you are unsure about a fault, say so and describe the last known condition. Relevant records or current photographs can help, but avoid guessing a diagnosis. The quote should reflect the vehicle being offered.
Confirm an appointment that works for everyone
Once the location and vehicle details are clear, agree the collection arrangements with us. An enquiry still needs a confirmed next step; do not give the business an assumed arrival time before an appointment has been agreed.
Provide a contact who can be reached and confirm who will meet the team. Check where the available keys are held. If someone else may attend, discuss that arrangement beforehand so any required information can be clarified.
Tell us about anything affecting the approach to the parking space, including a barrier or another vehicle that may need moving. Leave recovery planning to the collection team. If the site asks for a different arrangement, pass that on promptly instead of trying to adapt the plan without checking.
Finish the handover and records
Remove your belongings where safely accessible and gather the available vehicle documents. Raise a missing V5C log book before handover. Keep the agreed terms and a record of who received the car, and let the relevant site contact know when the collection is complete.
You must tell DVLA when you sell or transfer your vehicle. The official DVLA guidance explains the notification process and the written route if you do not have the V5C. Keep the confirmation with your sale records.
